Askennonia's Walking Club is sponsored by the local Tim Hortons. Over the past several years, walkers have received gifts of hats, vests, water bottle holsters, mugs and fanny packs from Tim Hortons. Once per month they are treated to coffee and Tim Bits. Several of our walkers were on hand to try out a new coffee maker for our kitchen, also donated by Tim Hortons. On behalf of all our members, thank you Tim's!!

Members of Askennonia's Friday afternoon Country Jam singers were on hand Friday, November 29, 2013 to accept a donation to the Centre from the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), Local 318, Midland. Local president, Zena Pendlebury and secretary, Ashley Gervais presented a cheque that will go towards keeping programs and events affordable and accessible to all. Many thanks to the OPSEU members for choosing Askennonia as one of the many local charities they support.
